I wanted to take some time today and update you on the next phase of Zocalo, Village 8. We are excited to announce that we are ready to begin construction on Village 8 starting in mid to late January. To produce the best possible product, we have entered into a partnership with Rachel Matthew Development to build this next phase of Zocalo condominiums. Rachel Matthew Development is a luxury custom home builder with a huge portfolio of high-end work including work in Santa Fe. With their local experience and industry-recognized attention to detail we think they are the perfect team to build Village 8. Additionally, Zocalo�s own Erik Garcia will be leading the sales effort for the new condos and is very excited to be a part of the team.
The first phase of Village 8 is what we are calling �Pod A�. Pod A is one building consisting of four Zamara condos. The Zamara condos are directly inspired by Legorreta�s original Zocalo design, and will be beautiful new additions to the Zocalo community. Each condo�s square footage is approximately 2,000 SF and consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. I�ve attached the brochure for the units for your reference. The location of the first phase can be seen in the attached map. We are anticipating the first phase of four condos to have a ground breaking in mid to late January depending on how quickly we can obtain permits from Santa Fe.
We anticipate construction to last about 14 months on the first phase and we hope to continue to roll right into the next phase. Titan Development will be constructing the horizontal infrastructure for all of the condos, with Rachel Matthew Development handling the vertical construction. By splitting the job this way, we are both able to focus on what we do best. These phases are significantly smaller in scale to Village 7 and the disruption to the community should be significantly less due to the size. As always, I will remain the point of contact for any issues related to construction, so please don�t hesitate to reach out if there are any problems.
Rachel Matthew Development is planning a kick-off event to meet the Zocalo residents on January 12th from 4-6pm. This will be a great time to meet their team and talk about construction with them and the units that will be available for sale. We look forward to seeing you there!
